Christian Horner Allegedly Contacting Multiple Grand Prix Team Bosses
Former Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is reportedly "getting in touch with most team bosses" as he attempts a comeback to Formula 1, according to Aston Martin chief executive officer Andy Cowell.
The British racing team is among the organizations that have been linked with the former chief.
The team executive mentioned he had verified the circumstances with squad proprietor Lawrence Stroll recently at the Singapore Grand Prix.
"It seems like Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," commented the CEO.
"I can definitively state there are no plans for the involvement of Christian in an management or financial position in the future."
Additional Squads Comment
Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu revealed that Horner had "reached out to" the Stateside organization but continued: "Nothing has gone any further. The matter is closed."
The French manufacturer managing director Steve Nielsen stated the squad's senior consultant and de facto boss Flavio Briatore was "old friends" with the former principal.
The Alpine director added: "I'm unaware what they discuss. Everything I know is there are no arrangements for Christian to arrive at Alpine but that isn't to say it might not transpire."
Williams boss James Vowles stated that the ex-chief had not contacted them.
"We're very happy with the structure we have and it's working," Vowles said. "I see no justification to alter this."
Historical Information
The ex-Red Bull chief is eligible to rejoin F1 by the middle of next year after finalising a severance package with his former team on 22 September.
The veteran motorsport figure was fired as the team's leader after the British Grand Prix in the month of July.
Multiple sources at Red Bull have suggested the settlement package was estimated at 60m euros (£52m).
